All the recent condo dev'ment means there's lots of space at great prices. Beautiful modern apts at a fraction of the cost! True there's not alot going on compared to other nabes, but it's getting better (Stone St. eg). Plus it's quiet at night so it's nice. I have friends that live near Central Park and the noise drives them crazy. And they're 20 stories up. Everyone has nice apts in FiDi bc the rents in comparison to the rest of Manhattan are so good. I have a friend that lives not far from there and she loves it. The first time I went there it felt like it wasn't even the US. Feels more like London actually.
